Baby backbends are the sweetest way to practice elongating and extending strength into our spine. The earth gives us the perfect backdrop to healing our weaknesses and finding new strength in the core body. As infants we prepare our spine, & strengthen our legs in preparation for walking upright. Now as yogis, we use these valuable asanas for standing in Tadasana and eventual standing and dropping back to upward facing bow. (Urdvha Danurasana). Baby backbends can take you back to your past experience of how you prepared for the many challenges ahead.
Class time devoted to lecture: Less than 5 minutes
