This will be a led hike around the beautiful Lost Lake Loop, just moments away from the village in Whistler, yet quickly enveloped by the expansive nature Whistler is nestled in. While walking through the woods surrounding this beautiful village tucked away in the mountains, you can hear some tidbits about the history of this fantastic vacation getaway. Whistler has been significant to First Nations people for many thousands of years, however the first trappers and prospectors settled in the area in the early 1900s. Originally named Alta Lake (after another local lake which was home to initial settlements), the settlers quickly began calling the town "Whistler" after the shrill whistle made by the marmots who also call this place home. People have seen something special in Whistler for many, many years - get a glimpse of how this amazing village grew its roots.
